3 Days Wildlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park
This is a 3 days wildlife safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda's top national parks. Boasting of a wide range of flora and fauna, this park ranks high among the world's biodiversity conservation area protecting many sought-after animals that include the famed tree climbing lions of Ishasha, bush pigs, deffasa water bucks, tree climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, Kobs, bushbucks, warthogs, leopard and varieties of birds.
Tour Highlights
It is a 3 day game and nature safari starting and ending in Kampala.
Day 1: An 8 hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park including;
- A stop for photographs at the equator,
- Lunch at Mbarara,
En route game drive featuring bush pigs, deffasa water bucks, tree climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, Kobs, bushbucks, warthogs, leopard and varieties of birds. An evening visit to the crater lakes region. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Simba Safari Camp.
Day 2: A full day in the game surroundings;
A boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and a game drive through the Kasenyi plains and the Mweya peninsula to see Lions, Hyenas, elephants, Bush bucks, buffaloes, hippos, water bucks, the rare occasional leopard, varieties of monkeys and birds. Breakfast, lunch and overnight at your Hotel/lodge.
Day 3: A morning nature walk in the Kyambura gorge and return to Kampala
Track for primates like chimpanzees, monkeys, baboons and various kinds of birds,
Breakfast at your hotel/lodge.
A mid-morning/afternoon drive back to Kampala passing through the Maramagambo forest to watch out for game en route.

Day 1: Kampala- Kibale
You will have breakfast early in the morning after which you will start your journey to Fort Portal. The trip offers spectacular views of undulating hills, savannah grasslands, shrubs and small scale cultivated fields. You will arrive in the afternoon to have your lunch at Ndali Safari Lodge or Primate Lodge Cottages. You will then arrange to go for an afternoon visit to the Ndali crater lakes region (optional) before you retire to have dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: A full day Chimpanzee tracking and guided-village walk:
After your early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters to be briefed by the guide who will provide hints and rules to observe while on the chimpanzee trek. For instance, these primates can be located by listening for their pant-hooting calls. You will then follow the sound while enjoying views of other primates like Black and White Colobus monkeys, Black faced Red Colobus, Red Tailed Monkeys, Mangabeys, Olive Baboons, Bushbabies plus varieties of birds, including the Great Blue Turaco.
Later in the evening you can opt for a guided village walk or stay and relax at your Hotel.
Return to your Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: A 7 Hour drive to Kampala including lunch time.
You will start your journey to the city as early as possible. After breakfast, you will get to the road and you will either have lunch in Kampala or in any of your preferred highway towns. You will get to Kampala in the afternoon. Do not forget to find out your favourite entertainment in the city as you enjoy your Dinner and before you retire to your Hotel – Your Hotel can arrange the entertainment.
