You can charter a boat or a canoe to cruise on this gigantic lake to explore the various islands and scenic Lake Victoria views. Make an arrangement to go sport fishing in search of one of Uganda’s most delicious and favourite fish – the Tilapia or if you are lucky grab the giant Nile Perch.
Yet you can choose to lazily sun bathe on the various white sand beaches at the island or play beach volleyball with your loved one; and when you retire keep yourself busy playing your favourite indoor game.
A nature walk will also be fascinating especially if you are interested in wild game including primates, varieties of birds and plants. Vervet monkeys, Black and white colobus monkeys and Bushbucks – all are commonly sighted animals on these islands. Also look out for the three endemic butterfly species and birds like hornbills, barbets, turacos

Day 1: Kampala-Bukakata-Buggala Island
- Drive to Bukakata and cross to Buggala Island by ferry.
- Relax, have dinner and overnight stay at Banda Islands Camp/ Hornbill Beach/ Ssese Islands Beach hotel
Day 2: Ssesse Island tour
- Early morning breakfast,
- A nature walk in the forest,
- A boat ride on which to visit and admire the natural beauty of the island,
- Go fishing if interested,
- Camp at the forest to have an experience of the nights out in the wilderness.
- Dinner and overnight at Ssese Islands forest camp.
Day 3: Drive back to Kampala
- Early breakfast
- Departure to Kampala with packed lunch arriving in the evening.
